Responsibility, food safety and quality is something we take extremely seriously here at What’s Cooking? Therefore, we have rigorous internal and external procedures and audits that ensure our site operates to the highest industry standards. Our technical team works closely with our procurement team to ensure the integrity of our suppliers and partners. We are committed to improving our impact on the environment with a focus on waste, water, energy and packaging. Our awards are testament to the hard work our people display every day.


CERTIFICATIONS

 

BRC Global Food Safety Standard v8 – Grade  AA*

The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety is developed by food industry experts from retailers, manufacturers and food service organisations to ensure it is rigorous and detailed, yet easy to understand. What’s Cooking? has achieved the highest grade possible to the standard, opting for the unannounced audit.

 

We are delighted to have passed our ISO14001 environmental audit

As a group, What’s Cooking? is focused on prioritising sustainability and reducing any negative environmental impact. The ISO14001 accreditation represents a family of standards by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) related to environmental management that exists to help organisations minimize how their operations negatively affect the environment, so we are hugely proud to have been recognised in this way. BRCGS Gluten Free Certification

We are accredited to the BRCGS Gluten Free Certification Program, for manufacture of gluten free products.

 

RSPO sustainable palm oil

What’s Cooking? are committed to using only sustainably sourced palm oil and we are working towards the removal of Palm oil from the business where possible. We are certified to the RSPO standard and are committed to work with the RSPO and their plan to transform markets to make sustainable palm oil the norm.

 

Red Tractor – Animal Welfare

Red Tractor is a single scheme accepted by all major buyers and well recognised within the Food Industry and leader in Animal Welfare.

 

Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) – Fish

The Marine Stewardship Council is an international non-profit organisation who recognise and reward efforts to protect oceans and safeguard seafood supplies for the future. What’s Cooking? is certified and has the procedures in place to maintain the Chain of Custody as required.

Campden BRI is our go-to for independent, expert advice and analytical l testing. Meetings, seminars and training provided help keep us up to date with developments within the food industry.

 

Anaphylaxis Campaign

Is the only UK wide charity operating solely for the growing numbers of people at risk from severe allergic reactions and anaphylaxis.

 

British Frozen Food Federation

The BFFF has a unique and substantial membership covering the entire cold chain from large companies to SMEs, which increases its influence with Government and outside agencies. Membership services are offered impartially to each individual member company.

 

SEDEX

What’s Cooking? are registered with SEDEX who provide a collaborative online platform that enables us to collect and share information and map risk in their supply chain.
